Dr. K. Srinath Reddy is President Elect - World Heart Federation and President, Public Health Foundation of India, a cardiologist and a world leader in preventive cardiology and public health. He has previously been awarded the Padma Bhushan (2005), Queen Elizabeth Medal (2005), WHO Director General's Award for Outstanding Global Leadership in Tobacco Control (2003), and was the first Indian to be selected as a Foreign Associate Member of the Institute of Medicine of the US National Academies (2004). Dr. Reddy also has been honoured with two major awards in the field of public health: the Luther L. Terry Award and an Honorary Fellowship at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
